Gandy Valle Wins Manny Villar Cup in Cebu City!

Congratulations to Filipino pool player Gandy Valle for winning the Cebu Leg of the First Senate President Manny Villar Cup at the Trade Hall of SM City Cebu!

Gandy Valle had to recover from an opening round loss and was in sickbay, too! And I kid you not! The 31-year-old former Asian Games gold medalist defeated Alex Pagulayan, aka The Lion, in the semifinals with a 9-4 score. ‘Twas the first time that Gandy Valle won over the former world champion! Valle continued his winning form and surged to upend the world’s no.1 billiards player, Dennis Orcullo, aka The Robocop in the finals. And he did it impressively – with a 11-5 score!

Gandy Valle clinched the prestigious Manny Villar Cup and the Php400,000 top prize for his championship win. He plays for Bugsy Promotions, owned and managed by Perry and Verna Mariano.
