Dennis Orcollo Wins Guinness 9-Ball Tour, Guangzhou Leg!

Congratulations to Dennis Orcollo, aka Robocop, for winning the Guangzhou leg of the 2008 Guinness 9-Ball Tour! The Filipino pool player from Bugsy Promotions took home the win with an exciting 11-9 victory over Wang Hung Hsiang of Chinese Taipei!

Robocop’s victories in the leg include those over Yang Ching Shun (8-1), Bernard Tey Choon Kiat (9-7), and Wu Chia Ching (9-6). He received the $15,000 top prize, while Wang settled for $6,000. Alex Pagulayan and Yang Ching-Sun each received $3,400.

For those not in the know, the Guinness 9-Ball Grand Finals will feature the top 10 players of the Tour’s legs, and will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on October 24-26, 2008.

The 10 finalists are Filipino pool players Alex Pagulayan, Dennis Orcullo, Antonio Gabica, and Joven Bustamante; Taiwan’s Chang Jung-Lin, Yang Ching Shun, Wu Chia Ching and Wang Hung Hsiang; Korea’s Ryu Seong Woo; and Malaysia’s Ibrahim Bin Amir.

You the man, Dennis! And I kid you not!
