Story of Sneaky Pete!

I was browsing a number of pool blogs for some billiards trivia when I chanced upon PoolDawg’s blog and the story of Sneaky Pete, the person.

PoolDawg sent out information on the Sneaky Pete, queried about the identity of Sneaky Pete. A few hours after sending out the email, PoolDawg received a letter from one of its customers highlighting the story of Peter Anthony Crisafi, aka Sneaky Pete.

Peter Anthony Crisafi or Sneaky Pete was born in 1919 in New York and was a billiards player. Sneaky Pete traveled around playing for money. He did this because he was no good at playing cards and he was too lazy to work hard. He stole his favorite billiard cue from Flambonis in New York and had it made into two pieces that screwed together so he could take it with him.”

Isn’t that a great story! Like PoolDawg, I could not find this referenced anywhere, but truth be told, it is one great read! And I kid you not!
