Our prayers go out to the victims of the earthquake in China.
Let’s also help the victims of natural disasters in our own country.. Got this from ABS-CBNnews.com - May 12, 2008
“The province of Sultan Kudarat is under a state of calamity in the wake of heavy weekend rains from typhoon “Butchoy”.
The disaster coordinating council reports, two deaths were reported in Glan, Sarangani while 120 families have been affected by floods in Maitum. Flood damage has been estimated at P33 million.
The towns of Lambayong and Esperanza are underwater, with floods destroying rice fields, and rendering kilometers of national highway linking Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao impassable.
Three footbridges and hectares of rice fields and corn fields were inundated in Surallah, South Cotabato after the Allah river breached its banks.”
