Wife for sale on eBay (Brazil) causes commotion

Found this post from Brazzil Magazine

The Brazilian government has appealed to Conar (Self-Regulation Advertising Council) so that that bureau punishes Brazil’s eBay, the Mercado Livre site, for allowing an ad in which the author describes himself as a man trying to sell his own wife. The individual, who signed as Breno Bonin, asks a 100 reais (US$ 50) for the spouse, whom he calls “very good in bed and great in the kitchen, cleans the house like a pro, never had children, doesn't have problem with sex, hasn't reached menopause , and is only 35 years old."

The ad ends up by saying that the author will want to buy the wife back
when his economic situation gets better.

Laughter? Mixed reactions? A cruel joke?
I didn't find it funny. Not one bit. And I kid you not!

Woman are not mere objects that can be manipulated by men.

Woman was taken out of man; not out of his head to top him,
nor out of his feet to be trampled underfoot; but out of his side
to be equal to him, under his arm to be protected,
and near his heart to be loved.
