Learn how to play billiards! Play with confidence! Learn the science!

POOL PLAYERS ACADEMY
Scientific Pocket Billiards Training Program
Play with confidence. Learn the science

WHAT IS POOL PLAYERS ACADEMY?

POOL PLAYERS ACADEMY (PPA) is an instructional center that uses scientifically-based programs developed to produce highly skilled players for the sport of pocket billiards. Its content and teaching range is much more advanced than any textbook or video can offer.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TRAINING PROGRAMS?

PPA’s program is unique primarily because the teaching principle is to “calculate” rather than “compensate”. The backbone of the program is the mastery of pace control. The certainty of shot making and positional play depends greatly upon the ability of a player to judge and execute the certain pace and stroke required for any shot to be played. Lessons are carefully compiled and constructed into different levels that could be easily learned and absorbed by the students to exponentially improve their potential in pool in a shorter span of time.

*The AnitoKid, aka Champ, credits his solid foundation and thorough understanding of pocket billiards to the Pool Players Academy (PPA), with emphasis on his mentor's (Teacher Lester Raymond Dulawan) love and dedication to the sport and its students. It doesn't matter whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advance player because PPA lessons are tailored and customized for each student. Lessons are compiled and constructed into different levels/modules using a true scientific approach. The levels factor in the different variables influencing a player's understanding of and attitude to the game. Such science allows both men and women to learn, absorb, and master drills and plays (basic, intermediate, and advance) designed to significantly improve one's game in a shorter period of time. Believe you me, some players spend a lifetime trying to unlock and learn the sport's secrets - but to no avail.

Mr. Lester Dulawan has been instrumental in bringing out the best in the Champ's game. Teacher not only touches on the physical facets of the sport, he also dwels on its mental aspect. Because after all is said and done, billiards is really one tough, and very difficult to master, mental game. And the pros know this! The Champ's first major tour win came after just two months of PPA study! And he did it one class higher! The champ virtually became an unstoppable force in all the amateur tours he has entered and participated in. These include championships and/or notable finishes and accomplishments in the Makati Square Billiards Association (MSBA), Pocket Billiards Association of Makati, Filling Station, Stiradors, National Billiards Association, Ferrule, Professional 9-Ball, etc.).

Teacher's ability to bring out the best in his students is also clearly evident by their various accomplishments in the sport. Some of the PPA's notable graduates include Enzo Ronquillo (Atenean student considered as one of MSBA's All Time Best Class O players, Sigfried Ramos (one of MSBA's All Time Best Class A players), Roleigh Tuazon, and Richard "The Dragon" Taganas. By the way, did I mention that Rubilen "Bingkay" Amit (ASEAN Games 2x Gold Medalist, the Philippine's 9-ball Women's Champion and 1st Runner-Up in the recent World Pool 9-Ball tour) is a PPA graduate? She is. And I kid you not!
