The billiards tournament, organized by the Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP), will serve as the basis for the selection of members of the Philippine Team, who will compete in the 2009 Southeast Asian Games in Laos and the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. It has a whopping Php400,000 as top prize! Moreover, a total of four slots for the inaugural 2008 WPA World 10-Ball Championship is at stake! The 2008 WPA World 10-Ball Championship will be held in September 2008, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The first stage or the elimination round will be from August 26 to 28, 2008, at the Star Billiards Center, while stage two or the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals is slated from August 29 to 31, 2008, at the Rizal Memorial Billiards Center.
*Tournament format is 10-Ball, race-to-9, winners break, double elimination up to the quarterfinals.
