Matchgrade Inc. CEO Lester Ronquillo Wins His 4th Championship!
Congratulations to my buddy, Lester Ronquillo, aka Mr. Perfect, for winning the Coach's November 2007 9-ball tour at the AMF-Superbowl, Makati Cinema Square, home of the Makati Pool Players Association (MAPPA). It's Lester's fourth time to win the championship in the Coach's Tour! He ties MAPPA President Carlito "Vice" de Castro's record as the winningest player in the series!
In the first game of the Finals Match, Mel Austria who bridges like Fong-Pang Chao, scratches on the 7, with only 3 balls left on the table. Lester Ronquillo pockets the 7 at side, but misses the 8 on the other side pocket. Mel capitalizes on the miscue and pockets the 8 on the corner and then the 9 to take first blood.
The second rack was taken by Lester for a 1-1 tie. In the following rack, Mel scratches while trying to pocket the 8 ball. Mr. Perfect is left with an easy picking. The CEO of Matchgrade Inc., Lester, takes a 3-2 lead after pocketing a very difficult 9 frozen on one of the short rails, with the cue ball also frozen on the opposite end of the table. Lester Ronquillo then advances to a 4-2 score via a sweep of the table from 6 to 9. He again takes the next rack (for a 5-2 lead) with a fantastic shot on the 8 that had the crowd gasping for more! The next game saw Mel Austria pocketing the 8 ball in the side pocket, but missing on a difficult 9. Daddy Lester wins this rack via a long rail shot on the 9 ball, with the cue ball frozen to a short rail. Lester Ronquillo leads with a 6-2 score!

Mr. Perfect finishes the match and bags the championship with a six-ball run on the table. His pocketing is superb, his positioning is excellent. After pocketing the 8 and positioning the cue ball on the 9 like a pro, the crowd stood up and clapped their hands for the great display of cue ball control! Talagang magaling na si Daddy Lester! And I kid you not!
1st Runner Up Mel Austria

Hey Man,
Thanks for getting in touch and checking out my blog. I've been reading up on yours as well (while avoiding work) and I like it!
Thanks for the link, I've put one up for you as well on Pool Assassin. Sounds like you're a pretty good player amongst your other talents - I play guitar as well, perhaps it's a sign of some kind...
Anyway, thanks for the interest, have a good one!
Wow! Thanks, man! You play guitar too? Awesome! I hope to see you around, my friend.
And oh! The title of your blog is just so cool - POOL ASSASSIN!!!
