The 2007 World Pool Championship Schedule
THE 2007 World Pool Championship, which will be held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, will be played out over nine days, beginning on November 3 (Saturday) and concluding on November 11 (Sunday).
A total of 128 players will compete in 16 groups of 8, in a double elimination format. Each group will be played out in one day over two tables. Four players from each group advance into the Last 64. Single elimination from Last 64 onwards.

- Group matches (days one to four): Race to nine
- Last 64 (day five) and Last 32 (day six): Race to 10
- Last 16 (day seven), Quarter-finals (day eight) and Semi-finals (day eight): Race to 11
- The final (day nine): Race to 17
Day One - Saturday, November 3
- Four groups compete - Groups 1, 3, 4 and 6 - Total of 40 matches on 8 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 11.30am.
- TV times are 11.30am to 3pm and 3.30pm to 7pm.
Day Two - Sunday, November 4
- Four groups compete - Groups 7, 8, 9 and 12 - Total of 40 matches on 8 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 10.30am.
- TV times are 10.30am to 2pm and 2.30pm to 6pm.
Day Three - Monday, November 5
- Four groups compete - Groups 2, 5, 10 and 14 - Total of 40 matches on 8 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 3.30pm.
- TV times are 3.30pm to 7pm and 9pm to 12.30am.
Day Four - Tuesday, November 6
- Four groups compete - Groups 11, 13, 15 and 16 - Total of 40 matches on 8 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 3.30pm.
- TV times are 3.30pm to 7pm and 9pm to 12.30am.
Day Five - Wednesday, November 7
- Last 64 - Total of 32 matches on 8 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 3.30pm.
- TV times are 3.30pm to 7pm and 9pm to 12.30am.
Day Six - Thursday, November 8
- Last 32 - Total of 16 matches on 4 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 3.30pm.
- TV times are 3.30pm to 7pm and 9pm to 12.30am.
Day Seven - Friday, November 9
- Last 16 - Total of 8 matches on 2 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 3.30pm.
- TV times are 3.30pm to 7pm and 9pm to 12.30am.
Day Eight - Saturday, November 10
- Quarter-finals and Semi-finals - Total of 6 matches on 2 tables.
- Play on all tables begins at 10.30am.
- TV times are 10.30am to 2pm and 2.30pm to 6pm.
Day Nine - Sunday, November 11
- The Final - Play begins at 2.30pm.
- TV times are 2.30 pm to 6pm.

sounds like a great tournament. I never been much of a player, mostly casual but watching some of the best play just looks unreal at times

Yes, you're right! I've seen countless matches and games played by the pros and been with them too, and they make the game look so easy with all their finesse! And I kid you not!
