Efren Reyes and Django Bustamante Lead Filipino Pool Players at the 32nd Annual US Open 9-Ball!
Philippine billiards greats Efren "Bata" Reyes and Francisco "Django" Bustamante will lead the pack at the 32nd Annual US Open 9-Ball tournament, which will be held at the Chesapeake Conference Center, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The pool masters will be joined by Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan, Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo, Warren Kiamco, Lee Vann Corteza, Ronato Alcano, Rodolfo "Boy Samson" Luat, Ramil Gallego, Jose "Amang" Parica, Edwin Montal, and Santos Sambajon.
The Filipino cue artists will face some of the world's best billiards players. These include Earl Strickland, Johnny Archer, Ralf Souquet, Nick Varner, Mika Immonen, Corey Deuel, Thorsten Hofmann, Oliver Ortman, Gabe Owen, and Shane Van Boening.
The tour will start on October 14 and will end on October 20, 2007. The champion will bring home US$50,000 while the second and third placers will get US$25,000, and US$12,500, respectively. Now, that's a lot of money in any player's book! And I kid you not!
The best of luck mga kababayans! Mabuhay!
