Dennis Orcollo & Alex Pagulayan Standing at Guinness 9-Ball Tour

Guess what, billiards buddies and pool players! Filipino pool player Dennis Orcollo, aka Robocop is now in the semifinals of the 2008 Guinness 9-Ball Tour, Guangzhou leg! Dennis Orcollo clinched the semi-finals berth with a stunning 9-1 victory over Singaporean Toh Lian Han at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, China!

And if that isn’t enough to excite you, here is more news, friends! A possible rematch is in the offing between the Filipino pool players in the persons of Dennis Orcollo (Bugsy Promotions) and Alex Pagulayan (Puyat Sports), 2004 World Pool 9-Ball champion and winner of the Singapore leg title of the 2008 Guinness 9-Ball Tour! And I kid you not!

The entries of the Lion and the Robocop into the semifinals have earned them guaranteed seats to the Grand Finals in Jakarta, Indonesia. For those not in the know, Dennis Orcollo and Alex Pagulayan occupy 10^th and 6^th places, respectively, in the Order of Merit going into the Guangzhou leg. Only the Top 10 players in the Order of Merit are headed for Indonesia in October 2008.

Three other Filipino pool players, i.e., Joven Bustamante, Jeffrey De Luna, and Elvis Calasang, were all eliminated in the group stages.
