Shane Van Boening Orders A Diveney Pool Cue!

This just in, friends! Shane Van Boening was in Reno, Nevada, when he saw the Diveney pool cue being used by one of my good friends, Filipino pool player Rodolfo Boy Luat, aka Boy Samson. Shane called Pat Diveney and asked if he to try out some of Pat's cues. Shane liked the Diveney cues so much that he ordered one just like Boy Luat’s. Now, that’s very good news!

Pat Diveney is a custom cuemaker in eastern Iowa who has developed a great following in that area. Pat's cues are stunningly beautiful! Pat makes great pool cues and is one great guy! And I kid you not!

Shane Van Boening, born in 1984, is a professional pool player from Rapid City, South Dakota. Shane is considered as the next in line and heir-apparent to the throne of being the best pool player in the United States. He currently resides in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he is a partner in the Lucky's billiard establishment.

Shane traces his billiards skills back to his family and their love for the game. His grandfather, Gary Bloomberg, was a trick-shot artist, while his grandmother, Jeanne Bloomberg, was a BCA national champion. Shane’s mother, Timi Bloomberg, was a BCA national champion and his aunt, Gari Jo Bloomberg, is a three-time BCA national champion.

Shane Van Boening was one of 8 players to earn a bonus of $5,000 for breaking and running six consecutive racks in tournament play! And Shane was one of only 10 players to earn their International Pool Tour tour card by finishing in the top two spots of one of 5 qualifiers! And guess what? He won the second stop held at the Pool Room in Atlanta, GA.
