Dennis Orcollo & Warren Kiamco Win at 16th Asian Games!

Today, Filipino pool players Dennis Orcollo and Warren Kiamco handed the Philippines another gold and its first silver medal finish in the ongoing 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.

Dennis Orcollo of Bugsy Promotions scored the win, 9-7, after racking up the last two points in the All-Filipino finals, with Warren Kiamco of the Negros Billiards Stable and JSY Sports as 1st runner up in the Men's 9-ball pool singles competition.

As of the moment, the Philippines has two gold, one silver, and four bronze medals - 11th place in the medal standings.

Notable wins of the two Pinoy pool players include: Orcollo’s win against Korea's Jeong Young Hwa and Kiamco’s victory over Chinese Taipei's Ko Pi Yin.

Truth be told, it was a sweet victory, not just for Orcollo and Kiamco, but for the entire Pool Capital of the World! Indeed, they did it again! And I kid you not! Four years ago at the Doha Asian Games, our gold and silver medalists were Antonio Gabica and Jeffrey de Luna, respectively.
