PSA Awards for Efren Reyes, Django Bustamante, Dennis Orcollo & Warren Kiamco!

The sports heroes of the Pool Capital of the World were honored yesterday, March 5, 2011, at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA)-Coca-Cola Annual Awards Night at the Centennial Hall of the Manila Hotel. The sports heroes honored included some of our beloved pool players. And I kid you not!

Recipients of the Athlete of the Year Award include pool players Dennis Orcollo (Bugsy Promotions) and Francisco “Django” Bustamante (Puyat Sports), bowler Biboy Ramirez, and amateur boxer Rey Saludar.

A Major Awardee that night was Warren Kiamco, aka The Warrior, who plays for the Negros Billiards Stable and JSY Sports. Capping off the night was the much-awaited Hall of Fame. And ‘twas none other than our very own, Efren “Bata” Reyes, aka The Magician, who was inducted that evening!

To our pool players who always have the country in their hearts whenever they play on the international circuit, a hat tip to you all! You make us all proud! Congratulations on the awards! You deserve ‘em! And more! Mabuhay!
