Yalin Women's World 10-Ball Championship: Updates for 2nd Day!

2010 Yalin Women’s World 10-Ball Championship update: The reigning world champion Rubilen Amit, aka Bingkay, won against compatriot Ana Tulauan, 6-1, to stay unbeaten in the 2010 Yalin Women's World 10-Ball Championship on Tuesday, September 26, 2010, at the Nuvo City Showroom in Libis, Quezon City!

The 29-year-old Rubilen Amit was all about focus today – displaying one spectacular shot after another! And I kid you not! She will be representing the Pool Capital of the World in the Guangzhou Asian Games where she is scheduled for competition in the 8-Ball and 9-Ball tours.

For those not in the know, the three best players from each of the six-woman, eight groups will advance to the knockout stage. However, those who gained the top spot in each group automatically secure an outright spot in the last 16.

Filipino pool player Zemonette Oryan scored against Jargelyn Maldonado with a 6-1 finish. However, Iris Ranola, suffered a 6-4 setback at the hands of Amalia Matas of Spain, while Mika Claveria and Mildred Almero were trounced by Julie Kelly and Jasmin Ouschan in groups 4 and 7, respectively. Meanwhile, Ga-Young Kim of South Korea defeated American Julie Kelly, 6-3, for her second win. Japanese Akimi Katijani handed Korean Eunji Park her first defeat with as 6-4 win.

It’s not yet over, folks! Go, go, go Pinoy bilyaristas!
